VAMPIRE MANIFESTER

✶ A Quick Bite into the World of Vampire Manifesters ✶

Noelia and Leon

So let’s talk Vampire Manifesters, one of the key races in The Haunted Tea House universe.

🩸 What Are Vampire Manifesters?

Vampire Manifesters are one of the four main manifester species in the world of The Haunted Tea House. Vampire manifesters begin life as bats—tiny, curious, flappy things—and only later shift into their full manifester (humanoid) form. It’s a deeply symbolic metamorphosis and very important to their identity.

🦇 KEY PHYSICAL TRAITS

  • Head Wings

One of the most defining features—vampire manifesters have large, expressive head wings instead of ears. These wings are completely hairless, protected by a rubbery, leathery membrane, and often scalloped along the bottom, resembling the edge of an old-fashioned umbrella. The texture is sensitive and expressive, often used for subtle emotional cues.

  • Skin Tone

Skin color varies widely—from pale white to dusky green, and even pinkish or purplish hues. Undertones can shift between cool, green, or grey, often depending on lineage, diet, and regional background.

  • Hands & Fingers

Vampire manifesters tend to have larger-than-average hands with long, dexterous fingers—perfect for fine-tuned tasks like sigil work, bloodwork, or fruit carving (yes, that’s a thing). Their skin is sensitive to sunlight and prone to dark spotting with overexposure.

🍷 Blood or Fruit?

There are two types of vampire manifesters:

  • Sanguivorous – blood-drinking. Often more solitary or part of small monogamous groups. These types tend to have a sharper, darker aesthetic and temperament. Mysterious, brooding, and a little dramatic (in the best way).

They come from old bloodlines—obsessed with tradition, formality, rituals, legacy. Everything must mean something. Everything must be remembered. That weight shows in how they carry themselves. Slow, deliberate movements. Eyes that look too long. Beauty that holds you at a distance.

  • Frugivorous – fruit-drinking. These vampires thrive in larger, polyamorous groups, often living in sprawling family networks or communes. They’re social, sensual, and thrive on connection.

If a sanguivorous and frugivorous vampire manifester decide to start a family? You get a mixed baby, with traits from both sides.

🧬 Rivalry, Rebellion & Identity

Historically, sanguivorous and frugivorous vampires have been rivals. Their moral systems, social structures, and values are wildly different—leading to countless conflicts, territorial disputes, and even full-scale wars over the centuries.

But—like with all tension—something new bloomed in the middle. Mixed families began to form. Cultural lines blurred. A vivid, chaotic, and beautifully diverse society emerged, full of contradictions.

These unions didn’t just result in hybrid abilities or unique diets—they challenged long-held beliefs about identity, relationships, gender, and community.

In modern vampire society, many of these traditions have been broken and rebuilt. Sexual identity is more fluid. Family structures vary wildly. And more and more vampires are questioning the rules they were raised with.

However tension still exists.

✶ CHARACTERS ✶

✒Noelia

Yes, she’s exactly what you’re imagining—a sanguivorous vampire royal, born into an ancient bloodline. Noelia resides in a gothic cliffside castle, its spires tangled in fog, perched above a moody, unpredictable sea that crashes endlessly against the rock. The salt air has worn the stone smooth in places, but nothing wears down Noelia.

However, her Sangivour Vampire traits make her role all the more complicated. She wrestles with melancholic moods and a deep longing for things long gone. She understands the part she has to play—but struggles to see how her actions affect others. She hasn’t faced much rejection in her life, so when it does happen, it gets under her skin. She becomes obsessed with winning, no matter the cost.

She knows she’s not supposed to show weakness. Not as a princess. But sometimes… it slips through anyway, in her childhood she has learned the hard way that she must control her sigil powers.

Sigils

Noelia carries her family sigils carved directly into her skin. It’s no secret—they radiate power. But the true knowledge of how these sigils work is guarded tightly within the bloodline, passed down to keep their influence contained. Her particular sigils allow her to interact with the blueprint of the world itself, wrapping those around her in a heavy aura of dread and unease. The rest of her power lies in something more subtle, more dangerous: emotional manipulation, that is though alongs side the powers of her sigils.

✒LEON

He’s one of many bodyguards assigned to protect Noelia after she obtained the dragon embryo, a rare relic that made her even more of a target. As part of his royal pledge, Leon follows strict rules—etched into his skin through sigils—that prevent both him and Noelia from forming romantic attachments. His loyalty isn’t personal. It’s not about her. It’s about the kingdom.

Sigils

His sigils remain unknown—one of the reasons he was granted such a high position in the first place. He keeps his arms and most of his body covered, always. It’s not just formality—it’s precaution. No one truly knows what his powers are, and he intends to keep it that way. Everything else is just speculation.

✒RIDER

He belongs to the vampire manifester group—or so it seems. His physical features mark him as one of them. However the absence of his wings, leaves many pondering…

Rider walks like someone with history he won’t name. He carries a lantern holding a sharp-tongued soul flame, and while most manifesters announce their power, he conceals his. The sigils are real—but unreadable, old, or altered. And the absence of wings? A question no one dares to ask twice.

Some say he removed them himself. Others believe they were taken. Whatever the truth, Rider doesn’t speak of it. He moves through the world like a half-open door—never inviting, never closed.

✒SHUNJI

Still in his primal manifesters from, Emha found him in a batch of Vampire Cherries, that were left at her porch, for now she named him Shunji. Little is know where he actually came from and who he belongs to, the only thing that is obvious - he is still a baby and a frugivour.
